Having done some investigating prior to going on my holiday to Sri Lanka, I came across this company that were an hours drive away from the beach resort hotel that I would be staying in.
All of the dive sites that I wanted to visit could be accommodated by this dive centre and they were prepared to pick me up and drop me back off at my hotel each day. I completed 12 dives over a 4 day period and there were many sites to be seen. The SS Conch was the highlight wreck for me although there was plenty of sea life including Lion fish, Barracuda, Octopus, critters but to name a few.
Snacks and drinks were readily available at all times and the ‘local’ hot lunches were lovely.
The dive boat was in good order and could easily accommodate six divers.
It was before the main season starts (November) so the sea was a bit rough and this affect the visibility however this could not be helped obviously.
The Dive Master was highly competent as was the captain.
One thing that is important to any diver is that you have good equipment to hire and I can confirm that their equipment looks close to brand new and all tanks were recently tested.
I had the pleasure also of diving with some of the local youths that are being trained by this organisation, free of charge, so that they can go on to teach the next generation of explorers.
I highly recommend this centre and all the charitable work that they do for the community.

I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver. I did my Wreck Diver Specialty certification here with Dive Seenigama at the SS Conch shipwreck. My instructor, Brandon, was amazing and the diving club staff took great care of me. The experience was also amazing because it’s very personalized, which doesn’t seem to be the case with other diving clubs in Hikkaduwa.
All the other boats that we crossed at the dive sites were bigger and crowded with large groups of divers. On our boat, it was only me with the instructor and when another diver wanted to join, he went with another dive master.
Overall, if you are looking for a personalized experience with very competitive prices, don’t hesitate to go with Dive Seenigama.

Dive Seenigama is a Dive shop very closed to Hikkaduwa where you can enjoy diving with a professional team ! The Dive club is also dedicated to train the local community in professional careers, so your funding will able the Sri Lankan population to get a free training for their future. It is part of the Foundation of Goodness, a really important organization which dedicate herself to help the communities from remote areas to have access to education in different fields (Diving but also computer, Hospitals, sports etc…)
I have been diving with Dive Seenigama for severals months (10 dives) and volunteering with them for Reef rehabilitation projects, such as corals planting.
If you want to Dive for a good cause, this is your place !!!! You can do the same Dives as the Dive shop in Hikkaduwa but fund an amazing cause and enjoy the view of the Temple on the island which is absolutely beautiful

I had a great couple of dives with Manjula going to the reef and the Earl of Shaftsbury wreck today. Right from the start I was made to feel welcome and not rushed. The equipment is in good condition and the boat well equipped and looked after. Nothing was too much bother and everyone was very personable. Throughout the dives I was assisted when needed and reassured as I was slightly nervous. The dives involved seeing loads of fish and a lobster which was stunning. The ethos of the organisation is really strong, working with communities and supporting employment outside fo tourism. That and the fact that base is away from the hustle of Hikkaduwa drew me to use Seenegama Dive Centre. Although it’s just outside Hikkaduwa it is not far by Tuk Tuk or bus and is closer to many of the dive sites by boat. I think this is a quality centre with helpful and informed staff. We booked two wreck dives, both fairly new to diving we were looked after very well and felt very comfortable exploring the wreck. It was absolutely amazing and the conditions were ideal allowing us to go inside the wreck where we were surrounded by thousands of fish.
The dive centre is an amazing company. Putting their profits back into helping the local community by training them to dive for free. A very warm and friendly service and would 100% recommend them.

Two years ago I already had my first snorkeling experience with this club, this year I came back for a second snorkeling lesson from Mangula he gave me a lot off confidence !
After that I got really interested in scuba diving and I tried the dive experience which was amazing ! The team is very professional and patient . I was rather stressed in the beginning but they know how to handle and how to make me feel confident ! I’m so happy with this experience it meant a lot for me ! I only can recommend this club !

One year ago on February 20018 I discovered Dive Seenigama Dive Lanka, it was first experience in Sri Lanka and I had good impressions and warm memories. On february 2019 I came there againg))), for days , eight dives, new dive sites and new impressions. Each dive was not like the previous one… Especially I liked Black Coral Reef, wonderful place,interesting relief, wonderful soft corals, giant lobsters…
I would like to note that the staff is well aware of the favorable and unfavorable conditions for diving at the moment, cares about customers and that the customer enjoys. All staff are very attentive, polite , affable and I am very thankful for all of them))
Diving center has good new equipment and professional dive guides.
I can recomend to all my friends to spend holiday with Dive Seenigama Dive Lanka

My Husband and I completed 2 dives with Dive Seenigama. We enjoyed both the wreck dive SS Conch with a nice swim through, and the Raksha Pana.
The equipment was in good condition with the boat launching straight from the beach. This dive centre is closer to the dive sites than many in Hikkaduwa, so transfer times to the dive site was short.
Charlie, the instructor was calm and clear and lead the dives well with good communication both above and below the surface.
It was a pleasure to dive in 29 degrees with 10 -15 metre visibility!
We chose this centre as it is less commercial than others and gives back it’s profits to the local community. The dive centre staff were polite and courteous and couldn’t do enough to help us. Highly recommend if you are looking for diving in this area.

I dived with this dive centre on the 12/4/19. I emailed them ahead of my visit to Sri lanka and my emails were answered quickly and with the information i requested.I took this as a good sign. It was just before the Sri Lankan New Year and they told me they would be open till 12 noon on the day of my dive. I arrived at 8.30 am as instructed and was greeted warmly . I had 2 divemasters diving with me that day Mangala and Amila. Mangala dived with me on the SS Conch. Amila on a reef dive.The wreck was at a depth of 21 m and the reef about 12 m . Visibility was good , dives were interesting with lots of fish and even a lobster made an appearance. I would recommend this dive centre . Thank you to Amila , Mangala and to kaminder , the manager. I had a lovely day and hope to dive with you again.
